Placement & Acclimation
Begin this coral in a slightly lower-light area than its final target and increase exposure gradually. Watch polyp extension, tissue inflation, and coloration to fine-tune placement. Avoid harsh flow directly on the polyps. Occasional target feeding can encourage growth.
Water Chemistry
For best results, keep parameters stable rather than chasing exact numbers. A practical reef range is alkalinity about 7.5–9.0 dKH, calcium 400–450 ppm, and magnesium 1250–1400 ppm, with measurable nitrate and phosphate. Avoid sudden nutrient or alkalinity swings.
Feeding
Most of this coral's energy comes from light, but appropriate coral foods and naturally available plankton can support growth. If target feeding, use small portions and avoid overfeeding the aquarium.
AquaGemCorals Tip: Stability matters more than constantly adjusting the tank. Give new corals time to settle, then make lighting and flow changes gradually based on their response.
